Text-to-speech in different language or voice (Android)

The text-to-speech feature depends on your phone’s system settings - specifically, the text-to-speech engine you have configured. For the best experience, we recommend using the Google Text-to-Speech engine.

To adjust the language and voice, follow these steps:

1. Open your phone Settings
2. Select System
3. Tap on Language and Region
4. Tap on Speech
5. Tap on Text-to-speech output
6. Open the Language menu to select a different language
