Live scores not displaying in the app
If the app isn’t showing live scores or match data, it’s usually related to connectivity issues or network restrictions. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot the problem.
1. Check if the Sofascore website is working
Visit www.sofascore.com
- If you see a warning or an error message, it means your network or internet provider might be blocking access.
2. Turn off parental controls on your ISP
Some internet service providers (ISPs) may mistakenly classify Sofascore as betting-related content.
- Disable parental controls or content filtering in your ISP settings.
- Alternatively, whitelist www.sofascore.com to ensure full access.
3. Change your DNS settings
If your ISP is blocking access, switching to a public DNS can help.
You can use:
- Cloudflare DNS:
1.1.1.1 - Google DNS:
8.8.8.8
You can change the DNS directly on your device or, preferably, on your home router.
You can also install the Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 app on Android or iOS to automatically use a private DNS and restore access: https://one.one.one.one/
4. Check if Sofascore is blocked in your country
Access to Sofascore servers is restricted by certain ISPs in the following countries:
- Colombia
- Indonesia
- Iran
- Iraq
- Portugal
- Russia
- Turkey
- Vietnam
If you’re located in one of these regions, you may need to use an alternative connection (such as a different Wi-Fi network or mobile data).
5. Turn off your VPN connection
Some VPN services interfere with Sofascore connections or are blocked due to security concerns.
- Disable your VPN and try reopening the app.
- If the app works afterward, your VPN provider may be filtering or altering the data traffic.
